My wife and I went here for lunch and were not impressed. We shared the pulled pork and the pulled beef sliders with side salads. The beef was a bit dry and the pork had lots of chunks of fat in it. The side salad was horrible. It was a bit of chopped lettuce shredded cheese and soggy cucumber (looked like it was once frozen). We'll have to give it another shot to see if other things on the menu were better.

Very good! Tried the sampler for two and enjoyed it a lot. Very reasonable prices, friendly server and pleasant atmosphere. Good value all around.

The food here is great. There are a lot of TVs and the liquor prices aren't bad. I give a 3 out of 5 stars because of the service. Coming in, our group tried to sit strategically as to not have some of the servers, who looked visually unhappy and unapproachable. As a group of middle aged men, we all came for beers after golf. One golfer left his ID at the golf course, and the server refused to serve him. My friend is 30 years old. At any rate, since the server made a big fuss out of it, we demanded to see the manager. She went to the back, some shady guy came out, went back into the kitchen, then our server came out and said that he didn't have time to deal with such matters. We left, and never came back. Too bad, because the food was good. Lee Roy, if your staff is uncomplimentary, your clientele will be unforgiving.

Nice little sports type bar. I had a pulled pork or beef sandwich. It was a nice little special they had and it came with a beer. It was nice. Good little place.

Ate in the Ft. Myers location on a Saturday Night... This place is Slap your Mamma good! (I wouldn't advise slapping anyone related to Mr. Lee Roy, however, unless you want a former NFL Defensive Tackle running you down) I'd give it five stars just for being a chain that has off-the-chain great food! Service was excellent and attentive; we were a group of (14) and they handled us just right. First off, the Fried Green Tomato appetizer was excellent - perfect crispy breading, tomato creamy-sweet inside, and an awesome dipping sauce. If this also came as a side, that would be even better. The Wings are best-evers, super tasty (again, without being overbearing) and moist, and the seasoning was the perfect complement to the ultimate soft-chewy texture and crispy skin. Great dressing-dip, and lots of fresh, big green celery stalks (instead of the usual limp, wimpy ones most places serve) The Pulled Pork and Brisket Sliders primed us to order them both as meals - plates to be exact. Both super-tender and smoky-flavorful, but not overwhelming smoke or taste, just perfect. Moist, melt-in-your mouth, and great with the assortment of four table sauces. The Greens Medley was tart and perfectly cooked. I haven't had greens like this in a long time. The Cornbread Casserole is really almost a corn pudding - dip a forkful of this into the gravy, and take off - it's amazingly good. If you want to split a great plate, order the Selmon Family Platter - there's more than enough food for two, and taste enough for a whole stadium. All of the desserts were great, but the Bread Pudding is another standout; warm, creamy and sweet, with just the perfect balance of taste and texture. Outstanding. Can't wait to go back! Great job, Mr. Selmon!

I'm in Naples and my friends will be staying in Sanibel. Half hour from each is Lee Roy's. Thought we should try it before the friends arrive. So 4 of us previewed what we thought was a sports bar chain like Miller's Ale House. what a great surprise. When an 80 year old retired attorney from NYC said that everything he had was terrific you know something special was going on. Would you believe grilled rare Ahi Tuna done perfectly! And reasonably priced. Same in Naples would be $15 and here it was $10 for a large family order. I had the MVP sampler plate with a half order of brisket quesadilla; 5 fried green tomatoes; and 5 or 6 grilled wings. Plus sauces for each. I love FGT and these were the best I've hard in 40 years. And the special dipping sauce was awesome. We moved onto entrees: a double green salad; a slab of St Llouis spareribs; a spinach salad; and a combo slider plate with 3 pulled pork sliders and 3 cheeseburger sliders. No where would a chef/cook make these 2 1/2 to 3 oz burgers to order but these little gems were cooked perfectly medium-rare. Flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious. And very tasty smokey pulled pork sliders. By the way, our waitress suggested the quesadilla should be made with smoked brisket. (that way we had brisket; ribs; pork; and burgers). I noticed three policeofficers chowing down in a booth as we left. You know the adage: "if police officers, firemen, or truckers eat there the restaurant has to be excellent". Of course I asked what they were eating and two of the three were devouring the steak with a parmesan/garlic aioli. Fork tender they said. OK we are coming back for the Super Bowl this weekend with six (4 friends from Memphis). Can't wait to see what they think about the smoked meats; ribs and tomatoes. Will report later... Suggestion is for you to try it - you won't regret it. Tell Greg, the GM, that the Burgermaven sent you. And yes Ameera is a first class/five star wait person. enjoy the food and the game!

Went here for the first time. Service was exceptional. Ordered the fried chicken and waffles. Finally, fried chicken and waffles. I've seen you on TV many time but never found you anywhere. It came with mashed potatoes and corn. Everything was really good. They also gave me a bunch of sample things like baked beans, cheese grits, mashed potatoes with bacon, and something else but I too full to remember. Would definitely come back when I'm in town.

I always stop by Lee Roy Selmons when on the west coast, and most recently visited this location. This particular location is as good as any of them. I would say this is the best midrange chain restaurant out there, or maybe just the best chain restaurant period, serving classic Southern style and comfort foods with a twist. I have dreams about the corn casserole, and actually about all of the sides, which range from indulgent to unusually healthy (brown/wild rice, Southern style greens). The pulled pork is some of the best, BBQ chicken is always good, the prime burger (USDA Prime for 10 dollars?) was juicy came out medium-well as asked, with awesome fresh tasting veggies and a soft bun that handled all of the juices. The menu has plenty of variety like a chain restaurant should, yet there is really not a bad item to order. Service was excellent, very quick yet not rushed, and friendly (or maybe I'm too used to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami).

One of my favorite chain restaurants in Ft Myers! Everything here is delicious. The staff here is wonderful. Some of the best service I have received in Ft. Myers. They are always friendly, quick, and very attentive. Each time I've been here the manager has stopped by our table to make sure everything is going well. Each time I've eaten here everyone in my party has been very pleased with their meals. They offer a variety of tasty dishes and even have a gluten free menu. They also offer a gluten free beer! I don't have a gluten allergy, but I always appreciate it when places make it a point to offer gluten free items on their menus. I'm a big fan of ending my meal with some of their delicious bread pudding. Seriously, if you're in the mood for something tasty and reasonably priced, give this place a chance.

Ate there when they first opened and the kitchen had "issues". Went back and it was a very good meal. Love the ribs and I'll second the rating on those baked beans ! Since Smokey Bones closed this is my place for ribs. I shy away during the NFL season, but it is on my Sunday mid afternoon dinner rotation list, also a place to take visitors.

I don't remember anything that happened before or after I put the BBQ pork quesadilla in my mouth. It was so good I'm almost afraid to eat it again in fear that I will never reach that same high. I'll just spend the rest of my life going from quesadilla to quesadilla, praying to reach that same level of nirvana.

My boyfriend and I have been here about a dozen times before this evening. The last time we went was probably six months ago. Definitely has taken a downhill slide since the last time we were there. They no longer have the cornbread casserole (which was the best thing on their menu!) and their menu doesn't have very many options. I asked the waitress tonight if they had the nutritional facts of their menu since I could not find it anywhere on line and she looked at me like I was crazy. I'm not on a diet or anything I'm just conscience of what I eat. Obviously they did not have the nutrition facts so I ordered something that sounded healthy; the smoked chicken salad. It was pretty good. This is a good place for some apps, drinks and watching the game but as for a dinner out, there may be some better options.

This is how you do a chain restaurant. Food: Awesome Staff: Friendly Prices: Low Happy Hour: Always ($1.99 Drafts all the time, $3.50 Ketel One Thurs) TVs: Huge, Everywhere in the bar To sum it up, The portions are large and the food is good enough that you will want to eat it again leftover. The staff is always nice and I have never had to wait for a table or even a drink. In terms of value, LRS can't be beat. Tried and True: Smokin BBQ Quesadillas - Pulled Pork is our favorite Back Country Nachos Pulled Pork Platter Any of the Burgers (especially the heart-palpitating Dewey's Burger - Pulled Pork ON TOP of a bacon cheddar cheeseburger) Dynamite Mahi Sandwich And above all, ask for the Oklahoma BBQ sauce for slathering everything up.

Lee Roy Selmon's is part of the OSI (Outback) Corporation. Locations: South Tampa, New Tampa, St. Pete, Bradenton, Sarasota, Ft. Myers Lee Roy's was a pleasant surprise. The food is just plain GREAT! Recommendations: Selmon Bro's Wings - Not usually a fan of wings, but these are different. I ended up loving them. Traditionally Grilled 8oz Filet - I'd rather have a steak from Lee Roy's than Chops. Need I say more? It is delicious! Smashed Potatoes Chocolate Rush - The BEST chocolate cake I've ever had. That's saying something! Moist, perfect texture, great combination of dark choc cake with milk choc frosting. Kinda Iffy: Cheese and Bacon Grits - I know grits and I wasn't a huge fan. Too much bacon and the texture was a little off. However, if you aren't from the South you'll probably think they are the best thing you've ever had. So go right ahead and enjoy. Peach Cobbler - Here again, this is something I know well. It was just okay.

This place is great, I try to have the wings here every time I'm in town. If you like wings you have to try Selmon's Wings which are smoked for 24 hours and then grilled.

Craving fried chicken and waffles, so I check my handy dandy Yelp app and lo and behold, there's a soul food place nearby. It's a Chilis-like chain, with friendly waitstaff and a menu heavy on fried and buttered items. We were given samples of the sides to taste when we sat down, all were delicious and full of flavor, but certainly not diet-friendly. My fried chicken was alright, though the fry was too wet and slipped off the chicken (which were tenders, not whole chicken pieces). The waffle was a bit limp and a bit on the sweet side, though that may have had something to do with the mapley corn that was covering the whole plate. The dish also came with a large mound of mashed potatoes I didn't touch, since I wanted to concentrate my efforts on pure fried chicken and waffles. My boyfriend went the light route and ordered the chicken caesar salad, which was well-dressed and really garlicky (and I love that). I would get that salad next time.

When you walk in it looks like any other sports bar. But when you open the menu you will be quite suprised at the reasonable southern entrée's it offers. I have been here once before and both times it was great. This time we started off with the pork stacker (6.99). What a deal, it was wonderful and big. For my entrée I had the chicken and waffles. Hand dipped chicken strips on a pile of mashed potatoes w/ 2 waffles on the side. Boohaha!! Yea, and it was only around $12.00. Great place!

Rolled in on a Monday night, not starving but still in need something to fill the belly. Evenings like this call for a seat at the bar, a couple of appetizers and sports games on the TV. Lee Roy fits the bill, a decent selection of beers, friendly staff and a cornucopia of appetizer offerings. I've done shredded pork nachos at other places and most of the time you end up with a soggy corn chip, cheese & meat mixture goo by the time you're halfway done..... not the case here, crispy chips topped with delicately melted cheese and tender brisket, a plateful of goodness.

Came on a recommendation about their awesome meatloaf and my husband loves meatloaf. Funny he got tilapia! I got the sweet heat fried chicken and was happily surprised that it was two amazing fried chicken beasts that were juicy and flavorful. My husband liked the tilapia too. The waitress was very helpful too. Looks like it would be fun sports bar when some sports were going on.

An upscale sports bar that has good food as well. The fried green tomatoes are great and so is the dipping sauce. I've enjoyed the bacon wrapped jalapenos, chicken wings and nachos as appetizers. And the pulled pork, ribs and fried chicken as entrees. Everything is well above average. I've had some short pours at the bar, but not too often. I'm hooked.

This is my go-to place for wings; by far my favorite wings in town. The buffalo wings, Selmon brothers wings, and dry rubbed wings are all exceptionally good. The service is usually great minus the couple of times we've had slow service, but this inevitably happens when you frequent the same restaurant 2-3 times monthly.

I don't usually use this but as a reading utensil :however my experience was so good I couldn't resist. I stumbled upon Leroy's on a whim. The food was out of this world. I got the beef brisket stack. Everything about it was spot on. The basil strawberry martini barely lasted long enough for me to get a picture because it was so good. Amanda my bartenders attention to detail was flawless. It seemed like she was genuinely passionate about the food and drink. It was very telling of how good she was because her bar was packed on a Friday afternoon in off season. I am definitely going to be back again!

I had dinner here the other night for the first time. Unfortunately we had a cold "robot" waiter, which made things less than stellar. However the food was pretty good. We started off with the pulled pork nachos - I highly recommend! They substituted pickled okra for jalapeños, and I really liked that. For dinner I had the 7 oz. sirloin that came with a salad and choice of one side. I liked that they offer a honey mustard vinaigrette, it was nice and tangy. For my side I chose macaroni & cheese and was more than disappointed to find it was literally Kraft brand rather than made in house. My sirloin was great, I ordered it "Selmon style" which means seasoned with a Parmesan garlic sauce. Yum! I also tried the pulled pork bowl which was decent but I thought it was odd the pork was served dry and bbq sauce had to be requested. All in all things were pretty good... Next time I will avoid the mac & cheese and hopefully get a different server!

Very disappointed, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I will not be going back after my experience today. Ordered the chicken nachos, they were covered in red onions! I have had these many times before and never had them come out like that. The waiter was just like "it's the salsa" and walked away. I clearly was not happy but she didn't care. She came back to the table with our entrees, I then informed her that they also didn't put chicken on the nachos but that it was pork. She came back to the table and said "just so you know I had the manager look at the nachos and it is chicken"...I was floored! I can't believe she basically said just so you know I'm right and your wrong. Needless to say I was not happy. At no point did she say something to the effect of I'm sorry she just kept arguing with me till I had to tell her to go away. The manager never even came to the table. Not a good way to run a business. I hate going out with my family and my whole dinner conversation is about the horrible service instead of just enjoying my time with them.

Selmon's has always had great food over the years. Breaking my diet, I ordered the full rack of ribs. Also had cheesy bacon grits and the baked beans for sides. The food tasted great. Ribs perfectly seasoned, the grits to die for, and the beans were phenomenal. BTW - I hate grits normally, but these are so loaded with cheese and bacon they taste great. As if you had not expected it, here lands the other foot: I was quite disappointed the portion size has been scaled back considerably. Portions are little more than half of the size from 3-4 years ago. Pre-diet when I would normally eat twice as much as I eat now, I would always have a significant box to take home for lunch the next day. Tonight I comfortably finished an entire "full" rack of ribs and sides. Tonight a "full" rack of ribs consisted of 9 ribs for me and 8 for my brother. With a little research you will find that a pig has somewhere between 14 and 17 ribs. False advertising? - probably. The beans - oh it was so disappointing to only receive maybe 2 small tablespoons of the greatest beans ever. My Gosh they are only beans, give people a decent sized scoop. Really disappointing to see such skimpy portions. If LeRoy was still with us, he would have needed at leat three orders to have a full meal. Food taste - 5+stars. Portion size 2 stars. Overall - low 4 stars.

First time here - stopped by on way from airport to Sanibel Island to feed hungry teenagers and watch the hockey play- offs. Wow - the food is really amazing. We had the nachosith pulled pork which were pretty good but the steak flatbread was wonderful - thin crispy crust and great favors. My son had the all American burger which he loved - including the bun. I had the salmon with broccoli which was delicious. Our waiter - Kevin - was great. Knowledgeable and helpful and really made us feel welcome. This really had the feel of a neighborhood place. We will be back.

After leaving Applebee's because no one waited on us, came across the street to try out Lee Roy Selmons got Great service and the food was delicious. The brisket melted in your mouth so tender. Loved the corn casserole. Rachel B. Was very friendly and attentive.

I've dined at this restaurant and one in Sarasota, both offer the same outstanding food and service. My only quibble are the plethora of TV screens ALL tuned to sporting events. Would it be too much to ask to have just one TV tuned to something for women to watch? I know it's a sports bar, but when you're sitting there with your husband and he's got that glazed look in his eyes as he takes in the cornucopia of "guy" offerings and doesn't hear a word I'm saying, I wish I could have something to watch. But back to the food. And drink. I ordered a Moscow Mule served in a wonderfully chilled copper mug. Just perfect. For an app we order deep fried bacon. There is nothing in the world better than bacon and this was delicious. It IS a little greasy later when you get that little after dinner burp thing going, but while you're eating these darlings, boy, are they a blessing from the Gods. The menu is full of down home Southern cooking and apparently many recipes come from Lee Roy Selmon's mother. If this is true, I want to go to her house for dinner because she is every bit as talented as any Iron Chef on TV. I got the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken is fried but without the bones. At first I was a bit put off that these were "chicken tenders" but they really are crispy fried chicken, just without the work of eating around the bones. There is a slight kick to the breading of the chicken. The waffles are buttermilk and practically melt in your mouth. They're served with cinnamon butter and maple syrup (you can pour the syrup yourself) and the plate also include mashed potatoes and a corn and bacon maple vegetable mixture. There are so many things to chose from on the menu but I would definitely recommend you try chicken and waffles at least once. My husband ordered the full rack of baby back ribs which came with a sweet potato and cole slaw. The ribs were very moist and meaty. The sauce used is a little sweet and kicky but not overbearing. Our waiter was very attentive, refilling the water glasses without asking and being very pleasant. At the end of the meal, the waiter brings a steamed hot hand towel to wipe your hands and face. Such a nice gesture and also a welcome one when you've been eating ribs. But even if you've only ordered a salad, you still get the hot towel. This is a great place and Lee Roy Selmon's mom is a kitchen goddess.

Stopped in on Friday night, they offer call ahead BTW. Not much of a wait but busy. I had tried this place a long time ago and was not impressed so we decided to try again based on a Yelp friend recommendation and personal friend same. It was a great experience. Pleasant atmosphere, nice place to watch a sporting event. Service was a little slow, she seemed to have too many tables. They brought some samples of there sides in an effort to let us make sure we liked them...nice touch. I ordered appetizer of Oklahoma wings and they were messy but good. Then got Chix and waffles, very good. Wife got BB ribs, she said good but a little spicy for her, she is a spice sissy so not good judge. Son got fried shrimp, they were good and fresh, no pre breaded stuff. All and all the food and service was good. We will be back.

This is my first visit to lee Roy. I got their 4 of July special of BOGO free Mile high Pulled pork Sandwich. But first ... the staff and all personnel that I had contact with were Outstanding... Friendly courteous helpful. Now the real deal the FOOD. As far as a Mile High.... the bun was that..the pork not so much, more meat needed to be deemed as a Mile High Sandwich.. It was very good tender and lightly smoked. Bun toasted just right... Pickles ?? must be southern thing I love pickles all flavors and sizes but not on pulled pork. The sauce... I tried it 4 different times and different ways. It just plain sucked. The baked beans another story... pieces of sausages a tad spicy hot seemed a bit sweet & sour.. The verdict is out on this. I had the corn casserole Interesting....taste like a corn muffin a bit sweet.. yet the texture unusual. It was good I liked it. I will be back. Looking over the menu waffle's / chix... gumbo, fried green tomatoes. And a unusual item at 5.99 on Thursday Smokin Quesadillas ... BBQ sauce sour cream fresh salsa???? on chips ??? hhhmm for me I think not.

What can I say...it is a chain restaurant. We weer looking to go to Fancy's to eat some real southern food, but sadly they were closed. This was the next closest place we were able to find with decent reviews. Plenty of parking as it is located in a strip mall. I found it to be very dark inside. The service was great. Our server has eaten many things on the menu and was able to provide great recommendations. I rarely have waiters talking about anything on the menu unless it is their specials. The food was nothing to write home about. Got the steak salad. Sad small pieces of cold steak on a chopped salad, with tiny pieces of blue cheese. Really wanted a leafy salad with flavor. Just looked like a bag of salad thrown on a plate. Prices were average for a chain restaurant. I will not go back here when I am in the area. Better to go to a dive bar and get the same food for less with better prices and a better atmosphere.

Great sports bar and delicious food and drinks. Don't leave without ordering the chicken wings with the Kansas City BBQ sauce. This is the main reason for my repetitive visits. Another great bet is the southwestern chicken breast. The corn casserole and the rice are my favorite side dishes. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!

Very friendly management and server but the food here has gone completely downhill. They changed the menu and the quality is nowhere what it used to be. The pulled pork was tasteless and greasy. Fries and coleslaw were extremely bland as well. Will not be back.

Horrible place. I will never spend a dime there unless they clean house. Everyone must be replaced. We were regulars since they opened When Greg stamper left the place were to the dogs. It is just a bar for drinking and watching tv. There is no class to it anymore and the food has gone down hill along with smaller portions. It is really a shame. We went there once a week but no more. We gave it three last attempts.

A little gimmicky, but overall solid. Far superior to its neighbor Cheeseburger in Paradise. Probably the best option for dinner in that plaza. They tend to have good specials on beer, making it a decent place to drink (though, the selection is nothing outstanding.) It can get crowded and its honestly more expensive than I'd like (compared to Cheddar's which has a lot of similar menu items.) An excellent, though pricier, alternative to any of the Applechili Tuesdays out there.

Good value from this budding chain with food that's better than most of similar scale. Fried chicken is amped up with a nice sweet chili sauce with a bit of kick. The smoked wings are a love/hate type app. Personally, I'm a fan of the smoke style but don't find myself jonesing for them. One thing I will order every time is their gumbo. Standard recipe but made well. Nice touches in service. Great spot for games.

Went here with my husband and another couple last night. We were in the area for spring training and thought we would try a sports place. We sat at a high top in the bar with what we were told is their strongest server. My husband and his buddy ordered the $1.99 draft special which once it came out after several apologies was flat. The server was in the weeds and brought out food without silverware, had to be asked several times for things. Our food was ok. I ordered the smoked, grilled wings which looked and tasted a bit rubbery. My husband had the pulled pork and rib combo and liked it. He loved the sauce. His buddy had the firecracker shrimp and said it was good. His partner had the sweet heat chicken which was very bland and dry. All in all, we will never return if we are in the area. The managers need to look into their beer tap situation and maybe not throw good servers into the weeds.

First, this is a chain, which we did not know. Second, it really is NOT soul food. Third, very little is on the menu that is healthful. Perhaps nothing. We ordered pulled pork platter. It had very, very little sauce. We had to hunt the waitress and ask for extra. There was one type, which arrived in a dish with a spoon. It is very, very sweet sauce. The large stall in the women's room, the one with the changing table, had no soap(not even a dispenser) and no towels. Skip this place.

With all the topnotch reviews, we went to Lee Roy Selmons on a Friday evening to experience it ourselves. Overall it's OK, but just okay... The environment was loud and festive (think Chili's) with plenty of fried and otherwise heavy food items on the menu. They do have a unique slant with their regionally ethics food. I did enjoy their grits and jalapeno mac n cheese side items. I think this would be a great spot to cozy in for a few beers and watching sports, but for a dining out experience, there may be better options.

Despite a manager that does seem to care about his customers, I had a server that argued with me when she messed up my order. Wrong move, lady. Oh, and by the way, Ms. Rude, it is a "beurre blanc" sauce, not a "bublahnk" sauce. Do you even know what "beurre blanc" means? You should if you work as a server. I canceled my order, ate nothing, and will not return. Update: The manager was apologetic about my experience and gave me a card for a free appetizer. The manager offered to replace my meal with the correct order, but I politely declined. Although the server left me with a bad experience, the manager did what he could to try to rectify the situation. Although I will probably not return, the manager responded appropriately.

There is not any reference in its name to BBQ, but that is what they are. And, they do an Awesome job at it. We started with the smoked wings. Wow, they were tender, fully cooked, hint of smoke, and a great sauce. They were first rate on smoked wings, and not deep fried. We ordered the sampler for 2. This had 4 ribs, a whole smoked chicken breast, 5 or 6 slices of Mamas Maeat loaf and some Pulled pork. The pork was great! Real Pork pulled, with a nice sauce, hint of smoke, and very tender. Ribs, great! Fall of the bone when you pull the meat. Great sauce and cooked great. The chicken was moist, tender, full of flavor, and great. Now, I have never liked grits. Our server brought us a small taster and OMG they were melt in your mouth party of bacon, cheese and creamy yummy ness. They have now set the bar for grits. If you don't like grits, or never tried them, trust me, they are so so so yummy, you will love them. The baked beans were also really good. Our server was really great, and the food fantastic. I will tell anybody I know who comes to Fort Myers to go to Lee Roy Selmons. Two big thumbs up!

Tried this place for the first time last night and nothing really special to say. The food, atmosphere and service were all OK. Nothing extraordinary just your run of the mill sports bar. The group I was with had the sampler platter along with other items such as wings, a salad bowl, gumbo, and brisket all of which were good, but again, nothing that would differentiate this place from any other. My suggestion for ownership would be to determine how you want to differentiate yourselves from every other sports bar in the hood as, Naples needs another sports bar like they need beech sand.
